Baptism

What is Baptism?

At Hill City, we believe baptism is one of the most beautiful expressions of following Jesus. It’s a public declaration of an inward transformation -
a moment where we say to the world, “My life belongs to Jesus.”
Through baptism, we join in the story of Jesus’ death, burial,
and resurrection, identifying with the new life He offers us.

When we go under the water, it symbolizes dying to our old way of life. When we rise from the water, it represents being raised to new life in Christ. Baptism doesn’t save us - Jesus does - but it’s an essential step of obedience that marks our commitment to walk in His ways and live in the fullness of
His grace.

We celebrate baptisms as a spiritual family, because faith is not something we live out alone. It’s a shared story - a story of transformation, belonging, and renewal. If you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus and haven’t yet taken this step, we would love to walk with you as you take it.

Ready to be baptized?

There are regular opportunities to be baptized at Hill City. Our team would love to connect with you, hear your story, and help you prepare for this important step in your journey with Jesus.

You can sign up below or talk to a staff member on a Sunday -
we’d love to celebrate what God is doing in your life.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Corinthians 5:17
